Your Second Visit to Our Faribault Practice

On your second visit we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you.

The second visit is scheduled after the initial examination. This visit will take about 25 minutes.

After the first visit all the information was collected. Between the 1st and the 2nd, Dr. Potter will correlate all the exam findings, come up with a diagnosis, and prescribe a treatment plan for the patient. All this information will be discussed with you and Dr. Potter is always open to questions. The plan may include a series of spinal adjustments, physiotherapy such as ice/heat, electric muscle stimulation, ultrasound, and exercises.

Often the chiropractor may suggest supplements and dietary measures to help prepare the body for healing the injured area. The treatment sessions are usually 2-3 visits per week for 2-5 weeks, reducing in frequency until the condition has resolved.

Home care of special exercises, home traction, and stretching is usually prescribed after the acute, or painful, phase has subsided.

Dr. Potter Asks some important questions of interest to Faribault residents - Chiropractor Faribault Dr. Potter Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
Is a muscle spasm a cause or an effect?
With the knee-jerk use of muscle relaxers, you'd think it was a cause. But it's an effect. Chiropractors know that bones don't move unless muscles move them. And muscles don't contract unless commanded by the nervous system. That's why your nervous system is the focus of our Faribault chiropractic practice.
